13 Spanish universities among the 500 best in the world

As in the previous year, the University of Barcelona is in the best position, once again ranking among the top 200 academic institutions in the world.

Spain is improving in what is considered the most influential ranking of the best universities in the world. In the current edition, Spain places 13 universities, compared to 10 last year, among the top 500 in the world, according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2019 (ARWU) that Shanghai Ranking Consultancy makes. Like the previous year, the University of Barcelona is the one that achieves the best position and is once again placed among the top 200 academic institutions in the world.
